XY-stage - with air-bearings
High dynamic machine concepts can be provided with components of natural hardstone - granite, offering multiple advantages in comparison to conventional materials. Precision cross-table, air-beared for micromachining in high precision and dynamic.
All movement axes are air-beared and equipped with linear drives.
Air bearings are directly incorporated into the granite components.
Nearly friction-free bearings, low specific weight and the relatively high stiffness of the part enables excellent postioning accuracy of each axis with high dynamic.
